About Padmé

Florida Grown, Slow Flowers

Padmé Flower Farm is the artistic expression of local flower fairy Mallika Nair.

After piloting a small plot at Beacon Food Forest in Clearwater last season, I am thrilled to now be building out the farm at our new dream location in the heart of St Pete, in the Warehouse Arts District!

Meet the Farmer

IMG_5752_edited.jpg

Hi! I'm Mallika, an urban farmer and artist.

I'm the founder of garden education nonprofit Growing Together in SF Bay Area, California, where I served as Director from 2013-2018.

I now work as a grantwriter for environmental justice organizations, and reside in sunny St Petersburg, Florida. I'm also an organizing member of the Beacon Food Forest where I am growing medicinal herbs, tropical fruit trees, and heirloom crops.

I am a folk singer and living room musician and can often be found dabbling in other creative arts including baking, crafting, and dance.

Padmé Flower Farm is the expression of my immense love for the natural world.

I'm excited to share this magic with you! Thank you for being here!

My Commitment

Ecological

Grown by hand, without harmful pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.

We use composting, mulching, crop rotation, and other agroecological practices to keep the soil thriving and the bees buzzing.

Safe

Most flowers on the market are doused in chemicals at every stage - from growth, to harvest and storage. Over 70% of flowers sold in the US are imported, leaving a heavy toll on workers, ecosystems, and customers.

Padmé flowers will always be safe for you and your loved ones.

Go ahead, bury your face in lovely local blooms.

Heartfelt

Whether for your home, a celebration, or someone special, our blooms are grown with care and meaning.

Local. Lush. Loved. Grocery store flowers could never!
